There is another thing that has made a blogger's life even harder today. This thing is the various privacy and cookie laws, directives, and regulations that have been implemented by governments. According to them, unless a blogger uses a standard free WordPress or Blogspot blog, for example, without any other code added, they have to gather and store records of consent from their visitors, and have them available on request.

Imagine you're a big-time blogger with millions of views, in order to make a meaningful income. You need to pay for a consent management system, and obviously, hire people to manage it, because you want to be focused on writing, rather than gathering, monitoring, and responding to consent requests.
