I had a similar experience to yours when I posted a comment of great appreciation to the profile of my idol DJ from the 90s, and he completely ignored me, though he replied to all other comments. Very disappointing, but what can you do? Perhaps it was another "I feel like I know you" case.

Back in the times of anonymous chatting, you wouldn't have such problems.

Today, the Internet has become much less anonymous, and it has become increasingly difficult to hide behind a keyboard or social profile.

Don't worry about haters. They like hating you, so they "like" you in their own way.
